In this exciting, fast paced, 3-day class you will learn from expert Clinicians, Police officers, Firefighters, Dispatchers, and their spouses about what the job entails and how it impacts them and their home life.  You will learn best practices for treating this very special population


Course Description & Educational Goals Learning Objectives


  1. Participants will be able to identify three key reasons First Responders have increased risk of PTSD and Suicidality.

  2. Participants will be able to apply three techniques to engage and gain “buy in” from their First Responder client.

  3. Participants will be able to state three reasons First Responder children have higher rates of depression.


Course meets the qualifications for 24 hours of continuing education credit for LMFT’s, LCSW’s, LPCC’s and LEP’s as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
